Bullets flying past me, getting hit on the head and knocked unconscious to waking up in a smelly trunk not knowing where I am or even who I am and realizing I am in serious trouble. I had never stood at the spot where someone was killed and breathed his or her last breath. Escaping, evading my captors, meeting, and forming friendships with some unusual homeless people on the street, still determined to find my way back home. I felt dizzy, disorientated, sick, and hurt, to name a few issues. Therefore, I closed my eyes, wondering if I would die here. Learning to live on the street and realizing it has advantages over my home life. Encountering a snoozing gun-toting criminal whose philosophy was one of how other countries control street kids by shooting them, to a ride in the back of a police car, upon realizing my actions can cause severe consequences for others, my world opened up, and I have learned so much about who I am and can accomplish.
